Barclays has opened the doors to its new branch in Leamington Spa after a move within the town centre.
The branch has a new design and sees bank staff are in the banking hall helping customers rather than sitting behind a traditional counter.
Traditional tills have given way to new assisted service counters which allow customers to undertake their everyday banking transactions, with community bankers on hand to help them if they need support.
Kimberley Gale, manager of the branch said: “I’m proud that our new branch is now open and has been chosen to have this new technology installed. It’s a big investment in Leamington Spa and a vote of confidence in the town.
“Our customers have quickly adapted to the format of the new branch and many are using the technology on their own, while some people need a helping hand which we are happy to provide.
“The new technology has some great features including providing photocopies of cheques deposited for customer’s records.”
The branch was officially opened by local MP Chris White who said: “I was delighted to attend the official opening of the new Barclays branch in Leamington and to see the new technology they have installed – particularly their state of the art service counters.
“This is a positive addition to high street banking in Leamington and a welcome investment in our town.”
