A Midland car dealer has been bought out by an automotive group for an undisclosed sum with financial support from Barclays.
Carstins in Balsall Common has been acquired by the Unity Automotive Group taking the company’s dealerships to three.
Its other showrooms are in Tredington near Stratford-upon-Avon and Peterborough.
Jon Mathers, managing director of Unity, which employs 52 staff, said: “Carstins has for many years had an excellent reputation and we are keen to build on that brand in the years to come.”
Colin Ellard, relationship director at Barclays corporate banking division, said: “Despite trading in a difficult sector, the performance of the group has been exceptional.”
