West Midlands accountancy group Baldwins has made its largest acquisition to date by acquiring two practices in Scotland.
The expansion north of the border will boost its revenue to £89 million.
Baldwins has bought £16 million-turnover Campbell Dallas, which has five offices in Scotland and 260 staff, and Edinburgh-based Springfords which also has offices in Livingston and Falkirk.
The three offices have 40 staff and an annual revenue of £2.7 million.
Campbell Dallas' clients range from individuals to family-run businesses and larger corporates in all sectors including automotive, healthcare, brewing and distilling, rural and food and beverage.
Springfords provides accounting, management information and specialist financial advice to individuals and larger businesses.
Baldwins, which is headquartered in Walsall, has offices in Birmingham, Tamworth and Worcester among others in the West Midlands and these latest acquisitions boost its UK footprint to 53 bases and 1,500 staff.
Director David Baldwin said: "Joining forces with Campbell Dallas and Springfords will lead to further growth for both businesses.
"It is very exciting for Baldwins to have offices in Scotland for the first time and we are looking to add further practices to our group.
"These two deals represent a major step forward for the group.
"We all share the same ambitions towards growth and we remain focused on providing information and expert advice to our clients every step of the way from start-ups to larger businesses.
"By working together, our expertise will mean we can all become stronger and grow our range of services and expand into new areas."
Chris Horne, managing partner and head of corporate finance at Campbell Dallas, said: "This acquisition is a natural fit for the two businesses.
"Campbell Dallas is one of the fastest-growing businesses in Scotland and this is a great opportunity to accelerate our position in the Scottish market."
Springfords partner Patricia Reekie added: "This is a great opportunity to grow the business in Scotland and will enhance the resources we have available to assist and support our clients across a variety of sectors and areas of expertise."
