The funding arm of Birmingham City Council, has appointed five new members of staff over the last two months.

Finance Birmingham, a public-private partnership set up in December 2010, has taken on new employees to support the delivery of the government-backed Advanced Manufacturing Supply Chain Initiative (AMSCI) fund, which totals £245 million over four rounds.

Finance Birmingham appointed three new members of staff to manage enquiries and applications from businesses – Andy Green, investment executive; Annabel Dolphin, support and monitoring officer and Diane Watt as project monitoring officer.

That came after investment executive Clive Broadhurst and administrator Annmarie Buffery were brought in in February.

Chief executive Sue Summers said: “It’s exciting that we are continuing to grow as a business ourselves, whilst helping to further the interests of local businesses and support the economic growth of the region.”
