Membership-based entertainment, travel and leisure company EZE Group has sold its Birmingham-based travel arm to Everywhere Limited.

The deal, which was completed for an undisclosed sum, will see Everywhere Travel take over all travel operations for EZE Group and its members.

EZE Group members buy credits through which they can access a range of services including holidays, theatre tickets, experience days and sporting events.

The company, which was formed in 2001 and now has offices throughout North America and Europe, has enjoyed considerable growth over the last year with a 300 per cent increase in its membership base.

With operations in Birmingham and Tenerife it has also widened the range of activities, destinations and pursuits it offers during the same period.

Other developments included the signing of a partnership with JDA Ltd, the travel firm which recently become part of the ABTA/ATOL bonded travel consortium formed by the Midcounties Co-op Travel.

Everywhere Travel Ltd, which is owned by managing director Andrew Moules, will continue to work in partnership with JDA from its Birmingham base in Broad Street. The operation will be led by Stephanie O’Reilly who has worked for EZE Group’s travel arm for six years.

Dominic O’Reilly EZE Group’s European CEO said: “Over recent months we have been able to strengthen our travel proposition for members by forming a strategic alliance with JDA and Everywhere Travel will be able to further leverage this knowledge, expertise and contacts. The sale of our travel fulfilment business will also enable us to focus on marketing to and servicing our growing membership base.”

Andrew Moules, managing director of Everywhere Ltd, said: “This acquisition is a good fit for our existing business and through Stephanie and her team we will be looking to further expand the Birmingham based travel operation in order to service the growing EZE Group membership base and our other clients.”
