Logistics group Exel is expanding its Coventry operation.
The multi- national, which employs more than 100,000 people worldwide, has opened a new office in the city.
Exel has taken premises at 2020 Middlemarch Business Park where 21 staff will be based in the firm's environmental compliance department.
Paul James, of Exel, said: "We have been looking to expand our base in Coventry for some time and are very pleased to have found the right property.
"Twenty-one staff will be based here at first, but that will grow quickly in the near future with the creation of a number of new jobs.
"This department helps us to provide innovative products and services to help businesses fulfil their environmental obligations arising from the increasing raft of producer responsibility legislation.
"As well as being a standalone service, environmental compliance is part of Exel's continued commitment to provide valueadded services to its global customer base."
The company has taken a first floor suite of 4,892 sq ft as a sub-tenant of MEL Secure Systems.
David Penn, a director of commercial property specialists Shortland Horne, who assisted Exel, said: "We are very pleased to have helped conclude the deal to bring Exel to Middlemarch Business Park.
"To get a company of that size expanding in the city is great news and is a testament to the fact that Coventry is seen as a great place from which to do business."
