Birmingham-based BHMG Marketing has brought a senior regional journalist into the company as it looks to expand the public r elations arm of its business.
Colin Clark, a former deputy editor at the Birmingham Mail , has worked on daily papers in Sheffield, Preston and South Wales before coming to the West Midlands, in a media career spanning over 25 years.
He will now look to expand BHMG's Marketing Public Relations activity by offering a personal and pro-active PR service to its clients.
BHMG Marketing managing director Andrew Haddow said: "We are delighted Colin has joined BHMG Marketing.
"We have offered a limited PR service but we are now looking to grow that part of the business.
"Increasingly companies want that personal touch when it comes to PR.
"They want to know who they are dealing with and they want to deal with that person on a regular basis.
Mr Clark is married with two teenage sons and lives in Shenstone near Lichfield.
His new role comes as comes BHMG Marketing celebrates its appointment to handle marketing and public relations for Birmingham finance operation HDI Capital LLP.
Operating internation-ally, the business aims to develop long-term relationships with ownermanagers and investors and provide a personal, director-led, service supported by key strategic partners.
