University students from across the Midlands are being urged to discover what Birmingham’s business district has to offer when an open day is held in the city later this month.

The Colmore Business District Student Open Day takes place on October 26 from 10am and 5pm and is being backed by a host of firms in the heart of the city.

The event is being organised by Colmore Business District (CBD) in partnership with Katie Bard recruitment and will provide students the opportunity to visit six businesses in CBD across a range of sectors. Presentations will be given by Hotel du Vin, PwC, DLA Piper, Barclays Wealth, Turner & Townsend and BranchMartinSpicer at each location.

Verity Stokes, team leader at Katie Bard recruitment on Waterloo Street, which is hosting a lunch and CV clinic on the day, said students should not miss out on the chance to meet potential future employers.

“This event will be an ideal way of showcasing exactly what this great city has to offer,” she said.
