One of Coventry's largest multi-disciplined property agents is quite literally going up in the world.

Shortland Horne has grown its operation over the past 12 months and needed extra space.

But the company did not have to call upon its own regional knowledge to find the extra square footage it required.

It has taken around 1,000 sq ft by expanding into the top floor of its Warwick Gate building in Warwick Row to add to its presence on the two floors below.

It meant a busy day of moving property details, computers and desks upstairs at the office which is home to its new homes, residential, land and commercial divisions.

Mark Sills, a director of Shortland Horne, said: "It has been an extremely positive year across all divisions and so we have taken on extra staff.

"That meant we required further space and we couldn't have found any closer to home!"

Shortland Horne's new homes division acts for housebuilders including Persimmon, Bryant and Wates as well as highprofile local firms such as Benfield and K. Phillips.

Its commercial arm handles the likes of Belgrade Plaza.

David Penn, a director in the commercial division, said: "We are acting on some of the biggest projects to happen in this area for many years.

"That has led to further expansion in the commercial division."
