Connexions, the Government sponsored support service for young people, has taken 4,000 sq ft at Birmingham landmark office building Equipoint through agents, Grenville Smith & Duncan and King Sturge.

This is the second success this year for the Birmingham-based agents, as a result of an ongoing refurbishment programme undertaken by landlords, Highcross, at the 117,000 sq ft former Swan Office Centre on the A45.

A relocation from the existing centre in Yardley, as well as part of a regional expansion programme, Connexions new premises are let on a five year lease at an annual rental of #13.50 per sq ft.

The deal follows hot on the heels of construction specialist, Allen Group, which took a refurbished suite on the 1,500 sq ft on the sixth floor to supplement its nearby HQ in September.

Helen Goodwin of High-cross said: "We are pursuing our upgrading strategy at Equipoint and are pleased to release a further 15,000 sq ft of Grade A accommodation to the market on the fourth and fifth floors."

Greg Shutt of GSD added: "Its strategic location close to both Solihull and Birmingham centres means that it is also ideally situated for employees and clients alike." ..SUPL:
