Eden Park Developments, part of the Fiducia Group, has sold the first unit at its 82,500 sq ft industrial and distribution scheme at Prologis Park, Coventry, with two further units under offer.
The 6,000 sq ft unit G has been taken by International Lifting and Shipping, a lifting, handling and freight forwarding company working in the exhibition industry, which is relocating from premises elsewhere in north Coventry.
The company will take possession of the unit, one of seven being built on the 4.5 acre scheme, Colonnade Point, once it is completed in August.
The remaining two 6,000 sq ft units are under offer ? leaving four units of between 12,000 sq ft and 22,500 sq ft. They are available on a freehold or leasehold basis at #70 per sq ft and #5.75 per sq ft respectively.
David Bourne, managing director of International Lifting and Shipping, said: ?We are relocating from just a few minutes down the road because this area has excellent access to the regional and national road network.
?Much of our work is at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham which is just ten minutes away on the M6 ? and it?s a lot cheaper than being based in Birmingham. It?s also very convenient for getting to other parts of the country.?
Jeremy Hoare, associate director at Eden Park Developments, added: ?The fact that almost half the units are now sold or under offer indicates what a strong demand there is from local occupiers for good quality product of this nature.?
