A luxury hotel near Coventry is encouraging its guests to enjoy a traditional British summer in between business meetings.
The Macdonald Ansty Hall is turning back the clock to provide homemade lemonade, strawberries and cream and games of croquet on its lawns for delegates.
Niki Rule, regional sales manager at the four-star hotel in Main Street, Ansty, said forecasters had predicted a sizzling hot July and August.
"It can be dispiriting sitting inside a conference room working hard while the temperatures are rising outside," she said.
"We have decided to introduce an element of fun and ensure we make the most of our beautiful lawns at the hotel.
"Delegates at conferences booked throughout the summer will be able to enjoy al fresco lunch which will include BBQs, home-made ice- cream, traditional lemonade and strawberries and cream.
"Then we will organise games of croquet or cricket to enable guests to work off their lunch with a spot of gentle exercise before heading back to work."
Built in 1678, Macdonald Ansty Hall is a Grade II listed Georgian House set in eight acres of landscaped grounds.
