Magazine executive Debbie Brown is celebrating - after 25 years at the top of her trade.
Debbie is currently freelance consultant manager of marketing services publication Adline - having previously headed the operation as owner and MD
Gordon Young, of publishers Carnyx, said: "Twenty-five years in independent publishing in the Midlands is a hell of an achievement.
"At one stage we were in competition and we found her a tenacious competitor, so I'm glad we'reon the same side now.
"She's hugely well-known and respected in the industry."
Debbie started out at Brunning Advertising in the 1970s, sold space on the Redditch Advertiser and was on the launch team of a publication called Adage in1980. The magazine was renamed Adline in around 1981.
She bought the company with two partners in 1984 and was managing director until three years ago when the magazine was sold to the Carnyx group.
She said: "I've had a great time. It's in my blood and the great thing is I've now got tremendous flexibility in my current role."
What about celebrations? "I've had balloons and champagne from the company. Very nice too," she said.
