Darwin Rhodes, a recruitment consultancy specialising in the pensions, insurance, actuarial, and financial planning markets, has secured funding of £1.2 million to support ambitious expansion plans and a partial management buyout.
The new funding includes a £250,000 investment from The Capital Fund, a £50 million operation which backs fastgrowing, small and medium-sized enterprises in Greater London.
The Capital Fund was introduced to Darwin Rhodes by Hyde Consulting, and invested alongside the management team and a syndicate of business angels who provided £740,000.
Darwin Rhodes has grown from its three founders in 1996 to become a global recruitment firm specialising in the insurance and financial sector, with offices in the Far East and Australia as well as regional UK branches.
Premises include One Victoria Square in Birmingham.
