A cricket match organised by Birmingham businesses has raised £2,800 for Acorns children’s hospice.

Travel agents Pak Travels in Small Heath teamed up Barclays bank staff from Coventry Road and customers to stage the fundraising event. Barclays matched the amount raised toward the final score.

Branch assistant manager Jayne Walker said: “It was a brilliant event that brought the whole community together.

“Staff, customers and friends pulled together for a good local cause which we’re proud to support.”
