Shropshire-based Xpo IT Services has recruited Naomi Litchfield, a business graduate from Cardiff University, on a two month placement to help develop the recycling side of its IT business.
The company claims that giving 2008 graduates the opportunity to develop skills and business knowledge is extremely rare in the current graduate market; the most popular line from potential employers being, “I can’t employ you without any experience”.
Managing director Steve Urbicki realised the difficulty for graduates to gain experience and therefore decided to offer a graduate placement within his company.
Graduate Advantage, a West Midlands graduate progression company was contacted who then sourced Xpo a suitable graduate.
