Edgbaston-based WPR has won a high profile digital and consumer PR project for built-in kitchen appliance manufacturer Neff to help it celebrate 40 years in business.

To meet the brief, WPR has created and launched the nationwide Bake It Yourself campaign to encourage the nation to get baking.

Supported through PR and integrated social media activity, WPR kicked off Bake It Yourself with a national survey into traditional mum skills, discovering that many mums don’t have time to bake or sew.

Neff’s brand manager, Sue Flowers, said: “Out of the pitching process, we were most impressed by the over-arching theme of BIY that WPR presented. The campaign shows their creativity and understanding of the Neff brand. The initial response to Bake It Yourself has been very encouraging and the team’s enthusiasm is inspiring.”

It’s a double celebration for the agency’s home and lifestyle division after picking up a consumer and retail brief from luxury vinyl flooring company Karndean Designflooring. After two successful years working with the commercial team, the agency has now been tasked with raising the profile of the brand within a broader range of consumer and lifestyle press.
