Communications agency S&X put the celebrations for its tenth anniversary in the city on hold this year to host a star-studded party in Rome for the 50th anniversary of one of its clients.
The agency helped Italian lifestyle brand Ellesse throw a glittering event in the Italian capital attended by celebrities such as Pat Cash and Nadia Petrova, jewellery designer Jade Jagger, design duo Eley Kishimoto, Bond girl Gemma Arterton and supermodel Lily Cole.
As part of a year-long campaign involving international and online PR, S&X oversaw the event logistics in which 250 guests included media from Brazil, Korea, Japan, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Spain, UK, Greece and South Africa gather in the surroundings of a 14th-century cloistered museum.
The party also included the announcement of the winners of the global Create Tennis Art competition launched in January by Ellesse to mark its 50th anniversary.
Inspired by original artworks commissioned by Ellesse from Birmingham-based animator Babis Alexiadis, illustrator Si Scott and silk screen printer Kate Gibb, the competition attracted hundreds of entries ranging from furniture and fashion design, illustration and animations. The overall winner, presented with his award by Pat Cash, was 31-year-old Korean photographer and textiles graduate Yang Yoo Jin.
S&X has been appointed by swimwear brand Speedo to manage its on-the-ground press office at this month’s Fina World Championships in Rome.
