City agency Switch has worked with insurance broker Giles Insurance Brokers on an overhaul of its brands.
Switch was initially called in to help reposition one of the Giles businesses, and several more projects are now underway for other operations within the group.
The exercise involves all of Switch’s service areas including brand development, design for print, digital marketing and exhibition design.
The overall project is expected to last well into 2011, with the first phase already having been launched in the autumn.
Richard Pope, founding partner at Switch said: “We’re still working in an extremely challenging environment and we’ve had to be careful about which opportunities to invest in.
“Too often over the past year or so, we’ve been presented with lazily compiled briefs and vague deliverables from clients testing the water or looking for beauty parades; we’ve had to question whether they are serious or not before investing time and valuable resource, at our risk.”
Located across the UK, including the major business centres of Glasgow, Leeds, Birmingham, Cardiff and London, the Giles Group employs more than 1,000 people and places in excess of £300 million in premiums annually.
Joanne Russell, group marketing manager for Giles said the company was convinced Switch was the right firm “from the start”.
“We were confident of their relevant industry experience having spoken to their clients and checked their credentials before we made contact,” she added.
