A new Subway store in Evesham has become one of the most hi-tech outlets in the franchise’s UK network.

Run by franchisee James Fleck, the High Street store has been fitted out with the latest in integrated CCTV and electronic point of sale (EPoS) software developed by retail IT specialists PXtech.

The store is the latest to open as part of Subway’s accelerated growth strategy and has adopted the new IT system to enable franchisees have a clearer view of business performance at any hour of trading.

PXtech has worked with the fast-growing Subway chain for over five years, supplying bespoke EPoS and CCTV systems backed by a 24/7 support facility to enable franchise owners monitor information such as sales, product mix, price overrides and productivity.

The system allows multiple franchise owners to effectively manage stores from any location across the globe, with real time information whenever they need it.

James, who is also the Subway Development Agent overseeing 60 stores for the Five Counties territory, said: “Being able to monitora range of information at any given time is crucial to the success of the business, and we are delighted to have installed this latest technology from PXtech.

“The technology and service provision allows franchisees to increase their store portfolio without losing control of the day-to-day management of their business and, most importantly, the customer experience.”

Derby-based PXtech, which also develops IT solutions for a range of other restaurant chains, is delighted that its solution is contributing to Subway’s growth strategy and giving more control to franchise owners.

“We have invested an enormous amount of time developing our total IT solution offer to Subway, and we are happy to be involved in making this addition to Evesham one of the most hi-tech in the country,” explains PXtech managing director, Richard Dorf.
