Communications agency Seal is launching a new digital division hot on the heels of the opening of its new flagship offices in Birmingham city centre.

The new team, headed by digital director Caroline Yates, means the agency can add digital services to its established marketing, design and PR capabilities.

The former managing director of Engage, Rees Bradley Hepburn’s digital arm, Ms Yates has 11 years of relevant industry experience for the role with a record of establishing creative digital solutions.

Joined by account manager and self-confessed “technology-geek” Asha Ghosh, Caroline will work closely with Seal’s PR and marketing teams, allowing the agency to offer digital expertise at all levels in campaign planning.

Seal chairman Chris Morris said: “As an agency in tough economic times, it’s imperative that we continue to evolve to meet the demands of the new commercial landscape as we emerge from recession.

“No one can doubt the impact digital is having on the communications industry, and traditional marketing methods must blend with new digital routes to provide clients with optimum access to consumers.

“It is no longer an option to pay lip-service to social networking or online advertising, it’s about being fluent in the language, appreciating the nuances and grasping new opportunities.

“We are delighted that Caroline and her team have joined us, ensuring that Seal offers the best capability, ability and skill-set of any genuine full service agency in the country, with proven experts at the helm in each of our disciplines.”
