Midland PR agency Seal Communications will be handling media communications for Grand Designs Live at the NEC in October.

Seal’s task is to drive ticket sales and footfall for the home and interiors show, made popular by TV star Kevin McCloud on the Channel 4 Grand Designs series.

The contract win comes as Seal announces its own “grand design”, having recently bought new landmark offices on Commercial Street, next door to the city’s iconic Mailbox.

Seal Communications chief executive Katie Morris said: “Being appointed to handle PR for such a prestigious, well-known brand as Grand Designs Live is a real thrill.

“With our own expansion plans underway, this is a very exciting time in the agency’s development.

Grand Designs Live is the UK’s number one consumer show for anyone who has an interest in design, build, interiors and innovation.

Hosted annually in London since 2005, this year’s event attracted more than 100,000.
