PR agency Rewired has been appointed to promote the restaurant brands owned by celebrity chef Marco Pierre White.
The Jewellery Quarter-based firm has won the brief from Black and White Hospitality as its retained communications agency to support the company's business growth in the West Midlands.
Black and White Hospitality, in which Mr White is a shareholder and investor, owns the franchise rights to five of his restaurant brands - Wheeler's of St. James's, Steakhouse Bar & Grill, Mr. White's English Chophouse, Marco's New York Italian and Bardolino Pizzeria Bellini and Espresso Bar.
It operates a franchise model for the restaurants.
The extended role will see Rewired deliver PR and social media activity for the company's Steakhouse Bar and Grill at The Cube in Birmingham city centre alongside PR and event management for The Club and Spa in the same building.
In addition, Rewired will be supporting Black and White Hospitality with the launch later this spring of its new casual dining restaurant Bardolino Pizzeria Bellini and Espresso bar, in Birmingham, alongside a second new venue.
The appointment comes on the back of the agency's existing social media brief for the steak restaurant at The Cube.
Rewired's managing director Ruth Pipkin said: "Having worked closely with the Black and White Hospitality team for the past six months, we've got to know the business really well and we're excited to have the opportunity to extend our brief across PR and social media for these two iconic destinations, in addition to launching new venues within the group."
Rewired's other clients include The Mailbox, Cadbury World and Millennium Point.
