A Midlands PR account manager has been recognised at the 2014 Headlineauto Journalism and PR Awards

Faye Callaghan, senior account manager at Warwick-based communications consultancy Prova PR, picked up the Rising Star award in recognition of her work within the automotive and transport communications sector.

The Headlineauto Journalism and PR awards ceremony was held on September 17 to showcase the best PR and journalism work being carried out in the motor industry.

Ms Callaghan’s Rising Star award marks the first time a winner of this category has worked for an agency rather than a manufacturer’s press office.

This year’s Rising Star award category was hotly contested, with representatives from motoring giants Rolls-Royce, Jaguar Land Rover and Porsche among the 23 names up for the prize.

The victory for Ms Callaghan follows her work with brands such as the global Motorsport Industry Association and British manufacturer Triumph Motorcycles.

St John White, head of Prova’s transport and technology division, said Ms Callaghan’s award win was a “demonstration of her fantastic work with some of the biggest names in the transport sector”.

He added: “To even be shortlisted for such an esteemed award is a fantastic endorsement of Faye’s ongoing work. To win it is a real tribute to her ability.”

Founder of Prova, Richard Postins, said: “The whole team is absolutely delighted for Faye. It’s an exciting time for Prova and Faye’s Rising Star win is testament to the quality of the campaigns we’re delivering for our world-class client base.”

Prova PR, which was founded in 2000, manages a range of accounts across the transport, environment and technology sectors.
