Birmingham-based Perspective, a UK software solution provider specialising in web-based training and learning solutions, has signed a ground-breaking hi-tech partnership deal with Groupcall.
The agreement with the leading supplier of Parental Communications Systems and Data Extraction Services for the education sector will provide Systems Interoperability Framework (SIF) solutions to the UK 14-19 marketplace.
It is the first such partnership in the UK able to offer an end-to-end 14-19 solution based on SIF.
Stuart Abrahams, director of business development at Groupcall, said: “SIF is an invaluable tool to ensure that management systems are able to communicate with one another to automate what are laborious and time-consuming manual processes.
“Our new partnership with Perspective will allow us to provide an end-to-end SIF solution including automated delivery of specific student data to the 14-19 Perspective CLM system which will save our mutual clients endless hours of data entry. The capability to write-back attendance information to school MIS systems when attendance is taken at other locations means this is a complete answer to the technological requirements posed by the 14-19 Agenda.”
Jim Davis, chairman, Perspective, said: “We are totally committed to the concept of SIF and true Data Interoperability – our vision has always been to provide the products to enable this.
“We are delighted to be partnering with Groupcall; our end-to-end SIF offering will enable schools, colleges, training providers and other key stakeholders to gain a comprehensive picture of student and delivery partnership progress at any given time.
“Perspective is dedicated to vocational training and work-based learning applications and we fully appreciate the need to link our system to areas outside the normal school environment into areas such as specialised Training Providers and Colleges.”
