Expanding creative firms have taken on a clutch of new staff in response to recent business wins.

Golley Slater Birmingham has made two appointments to strengthen its PR team in the Midlands following several new contracts.

Georgina Dunkley joins as PR account director having previously worked for Golley Slater in both Newcastle and Manchester and Rebecca Jones joins the PR team as account manager, bringing with her trade and technical PR experience.

Golley Slater PR managing director Tim Gearey said: “Although 2009 was undoubtedly a tough year for the industry, we’ve continued to grow and have won several exciting new clients and major projects in the last 12 months in both advertising and PR.”

Meanwhile digital agency Clusta has appointed Penny Dixon as senior digital planner.

In her new role she will be responsible for helping develop the agency’s strategic partnerships among existing clients and across new sectors.

She said: “It’s a fantastic opportunity to work with an agency that’s really on the edge and delivering distinct and effective digital content.”

Finally Concept Advertising and Public Relations has appointed expert Dino D’Amore to join its busy website department.
