Rave Communications has taken on a new team member following a string of business wins from the consumer sector.
The agency has appointed Katie McDermott in the role of PR account manager.
Rave, which has offices in Birmingham, London and Luton, has seen particular growth in 2010 in its public relations offering and has also just celebrated its tenth anniversary.
Its growth has included winning the retained PR accounts for the likes of Graco baby products, Berol pens and Showcase Cinemas.
The company said Ms McDermott, who will be based in the Rave office in Coleshill, is an experienced PR practioner who brings a wealth of big brand experience to her position.
A philosophy graduate from the University of York, she began her career at Threepipe in London in 2007, working with clients including the British Olympics Association, Yo! Sushi and Institut del Cava.
She then returned to her native Midlands, taking up a position at Bright and working on the Autoglass account, before a spell in the NEC press office looking after such events as the BBC Good Food Show and Clothes Show Live.
Rave PR director Chris Date said: “These are exciting times at Rave, with a raft of high profile B2C PR clients coming on board.
“Katie is a bright young talent and I know she will deliver some exceptional campaigns for her clients.”
