Rave Communications has appointed Doug Laird as its new creative director.
The agency said a number of creative heavyweights from across the industry applied for the job, but Mr Laird was appointed after showcasing an “outstanding” portfolio of work.
Mr Laird joins the team after a career that includes spells at Oakbase and Underdog in Cheshire, but he is most recognised for his work over more than 10 years at TBWA Manchester.
During his career he has developed and directed campaigns for major brands including Tizer, Morrisons, TJ Hughes, Carex and Smyths Toys, winning a host of industry awards along the way.
Mr Laird said: “Rave is an extremely ambitious agency and everyone understands the impact that ideas can have in any media.
“There’s a real buzz about the place and I’m excited about the opportunity here.”
