Birmingham city centre was transformed into a film set for a day as zombie apocalypse scenes were filmed in the business district.
Crews closed off Church Street as it was prepared for scenes from Hollywood movie She Who Brings Gifts, starring Gemma Arterton, Paddy Considine and Glenn Close.
The film has also been shot in Cannock and Dudley but for zombie shots it shifted to the Colmore business district (make of that what you will).
The plot follows a scientist and a teacher on a journey of survival in a dystopia where the human race faces extermination.
The story sees most of humanity wiped out by a fungal infection and the infected, who are referred to as ‘hungries’, lose their mental powers and feed on the flesh of healthy humans.
It is being directed by Colm McCarthy, of Peaky Blinders fame.
The crew are due to film all over the Midlands in the coming weeks, including in Dudley, Halesowen and on Cannock Chase.
