A Midland IT and communications firm has rebranded itself after expansion plans took off at a greater rate than expected.

SD Voice & Video, formerly Skills Developer, has branched into new areas of communications offering more than traditional telephony services.

The Solihull-based company says it has now extended its services to offer bespoke communications packages to its customers that goes beyond traditional telephony solutions.

Lee Cassidy, managing director of SD Voice & Video, said: "We started as a company, providing education for senior IT staff, IT directors and managers, on the best way to approach the design and deployment of IT projects in business and also to help bridge the gap between businesses and IT groups.

"We have since extended and improved our services, providing data, voice and video services, unified communications. Hence, the name change to SD Voice & Video seemed appropriate.

"Our approach is not to sell something and then disappear, only to reappear when we want to sell you another product or something goes wrong.

"We work hard to understand the businesses we deal with and the specific issues around their communication needs ranging from infrastructure to operations to deliver effective solutions."

SD Voice & Video specialises in telephony services such as analogue and digital telephone lines, mobile communications for businesses and hosted broadsoft IP telephony services.

Mr Cassidy added: "We have solutions for the small business with as little as one user through to large corporates with many thousand users on many sites."
