McCann Erickson in Lloydspharmacy deal

Lloydspharmacy has appointed McCann Erickson Communications House Birmingham as lead creative and media agency.

The contract is to drive the pharmacy brand’s business forward as well as to ensure healthy growth.

The appointment enables Lloydspharmacy to consolidate its existing mix of agencies to put all creative and media remits under one roof.

McCann Birmingham said its team was using a range of specialist communications tools to help Lloydspharmacy continue to grow from a good pharmacy business into a great healthcare brand.

An integrated mix of activity worth £4.5 million, including planning, an internal communications programme, digital enhancements and a national television campaign, will be used to reinforce the brand’s credentials to customers, employees and suppliers.

McCann Erickson Communications House brand division managing director Edi FitzGerald said: “We are thrilled to be working with Lloydspharmacy and look forward to helping the business unlock success and future growth during these changing times, by making better use of its digital communications and leveraging its ground-breaking new-look pharmacies.”
