Controversial columnist and author Richard Littlejohn has been named as the guest speaker at the annual celebrity lunch being held by the Journalists' Charity.
Littlejohn - a former Post & Mail journalist - is an award-winning columnist, broadcaster and author of three books.
His columns in national newspapers made him one of the most famous journalists in the country, and has been named Columnist of the Year on more than one occasion.
He joined the Birmingham Mail in the 1970s, becoming its Industrial Correspondent.
And he was recently named as one of the most influential journalists of the last 40 years when he was placed in the inaugural Fleet Street Hall of Fame.
The West Midlands branch of the charity will be holding the lunch at the Holte Suite at Villa Park on Friday May 9.
It will be sponsored again by Rod Ackrill of Chase Midland. Tickets are £42. For more information contact Val Deeley on 0156 288 3290.
