The Kerrang! brand could eventually be dropped from the Birmingham-based radio station as it seeks to broaden its appeal.
Over the past 12 months the station has been changing the music it plays to appeal to a wider audience as well as bringing in more mainstream presenters such as Kate Lawler.
Kerrang! said in a statement: “We regularly review the best way to deepen our relationships with our local audiences, increase reach and market share and the name of the station is part of that process. However, there are no immediate plans to change the name of Kerrang!”
