A PR agency which specialises in the technology sector has launched a new office north of the border.

Birmingham-based Vitis PR has opened the new base in Fife to service clients in the surrounding area such as Perth, Dunfermline, Dundee, Edinburgh and Leith.

It is led by head of media relations Nic Corns who has left the firm's Jewellery Quarter base to return to her home to spearhead the Scotland arm of the company.

The move follows a series of UK and international business wins.

Ms Corns has 11 years of experience in the PR industry and joined Vitis in 2010.

Founder and director Ranbir Sahota said: "We've had an extremely successful year, which has seen both our client base and internal team grow.

"Our presence in Fife will enable us to expand our portfolio and access the growing number of specialist technology companies north of the border.

"Scottish companies looking for new blood and fresh thinking have a new alternative specialist agency to approach now.

"Having an on-the-ground presence in Scotland too will allow us to have face-to-face contact with the many technology companies that are based here."

Vitis PR's current client base incorporates a variety of technology businesses including online retail, smart home devices, telecoms, pen source software and information security.

It also represents Mercia Fund Management, the Henley-based investment vehicle which supports start-up and growing tech and digital companies.
