Birmingham’s fashion crowd mingled with representatives from the City Council at a stylish evening hosted by fashion designer Jacob Kimmie.
Guests at the event at the newly-opened Fazeley Studios in Digbeth viewed a film of his spring summer 2009 collection, entitled “The Debutante,” and an exhibition of key pieces for his autumn winter pre-collection for 2009/10.
Footage from the Jacob Kimmie London Fashion Week show was projected onto the walls and his autumn/winter 09/10 pre-collection was exhibited on mannequins.
Mr Kimmie said: “It’s great that people could come down and enjoy themselves in a relaxed environment. Birmingham needs more events like this, informal evenings where people from the fashion and creative industries can show their work and meet new people.”
