Places are still available at a major event for the region’s ICT industry, focusing this year on Innovation & Creativity – drivers for success in challenging times and featuring presentations and workshops from the likes of Cisco, IBM, Siemens and Vodafone.

Over 350 professionals from across the Midlands and Oxfordshire are expected to attend the 2008 ICT Conference and ICT Excellence Awards at the National Motorcycle Museum, near Birmingham Airport, on November 20.

Hosted by award-winning broadcaster Stuart Linnell, the event has been put together by the West Midlands ICT Cluster, which seeks to gather together ICT companies and organisations to inspire innovation, gain industry expertise and network at the largest conference in the region.

The conference programme will feature keynote presentations from Cisco’s Wendy Mars, systems engineering director, on “Achieving Success in the Global Marketplace” and Peter Cochran, chairman of Cochrane Associates, on “Innovation – Squaring the Circle”.

By popular demand, a panel of experts will lead an open discussion on “Innovation in IT”.

The event seeks to provide access to technology partners, thought leaders and business innovators. Practical Workshops are being held both morning and afternoon encompassing three themes: Business, Technology and EU Funding.

The ICT Excellence Awards ceremony, with categories ranging from Best Innovative Product to Best Knowledge Transfer, will take place after the conference.
