A Birmingham civil and structural engineering consultancy has appointed Lichfield-based Ian Strachan Communications to handle its press relations.
Copeland Wedge Associates has doubled in size in little more than two years and is about to embark on a re-launch and re-branding.
The consultancy provides civil and structural, design consultancy services to a wide range of sectors including leisure, education, health, industrial, retail, infrastructure and public bodies. Ian Strachan Communications has been brought on board to provide PR support to the consultancy’s re-launch, as well as ongoing press relations and PR support to the business, which is based in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter.
Copeland Wedge director Jim O’Donnell said: “This is a really exciting time for us. We have grown rapidly since the business was formed in 2011, and have amassed a wide range of high profile and blue chip clients. We are about to embark on a re-branding exercise to reflect our growth, with a new corporate identity, new web-site and new people joining us to take the business forward.
“We have a great story to tell and we chose Ian Strachan Communications because of Ian’s expertise and contacts in our sector,” he added.
Ian Strachan Communications Ltd was set up 14 years ago by Ian Strachan, formerly corporate affairs director at Birmingham commercial vehicle manufacturer LDV and corporate communications director at Rover Group.
Mr Strachan said: “Even though Copeland Wedge has only been in operation for just over two years, it has grown rapidly despite the challenges of the construction sector. I look forward to helping the consultancy and its people achieve their business objectives.”
