Golley Slater Public Relations in Birmingham has bolstered its specialist automotive division with the appointment of two new consultants.

Pietro Panarisi, previously Aston Martin’s chief press officer, joined as a senior PR consultant in August with responsibility for helping to develop the agency’s brand portfolio within the automotive sector.

Mr Panarisi leads the PR team working on national consumer brand PR activity for Škoda UK.

Following his recruitment, Suzanne Tennant has since been appointed to the new position of digital PR consultant and will lead Golley Slater’s rapidly-expanding social media and digital PR offering.

With a wealth of experience in the automotive industry, Ms Tennant has previously worked on TV’s Fifth Gear and Alfa Romeo, as well as the Race of Champions and Silverstone.

Tim Gearey, managing director at Golley Slater, said: “We have enjoyed a strong start to the second half of the year and so Pietro and Suzanne are key appointments for us on the PR side.

“We are doing more and more digital PR and social media activity for clients, and Suzanne will be instrumental in evolving this space for Golley Slater.”
