A Birmingham-based digital agency has been retained by Claire’s Accessories to help them promote its One Direction online competition which runs throughout Europe.
Fast Fwd Multimedia, based at Fazeley Studios in Digbeth, was awarded the contract after successfully providing web design, creative and technical web development support to Claire’s “Party Like A Celeb With T4 On The Beach” campaign earlier this year.
The project involves the creation of a multi-lingual website that covers 11 different languages to promote Claire’s online competition to win tickets and signed merchandise to see One Direction live in concert throughout Europe – plus the chance for one lucky couple to meet the band in the UK too.
One Direction are a popular boy band and were given a world stage, performing at the Olympic closing ceremony recently.
To enter the Claire’s competition all you need to do is obtain a free competition code from any of their 1,000 European stores and enter the code into the website www.clairesand1d.com
The online competition is now open and runs until August 30, and is open to residents of the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, Poland, Portugal, Netherlands and the Republic of Ireland.
Kishen Hawkins, who founded Fast Fwd, said, “This is another great opportunity for us to continue to work with globally renowned and locally loved brands.
“We are also delighted to be able to introduce some great supporting technology to the online campaign with in-store codes, mobile optimised versions of the website and campaign tracking.
“Having a mobile version of the site is very important for connecting with a teenage audience today who use their mobiles for accessing the web – where over 40 per cent of visits to previous Claire’s campaigns were from mobile devices.”
Hind Hadj, head of European press and marketing for Claire’s, commented, “Fast Fwd is a great partner to work with and have overcome all challenges we had in pulling the project together. I am sure we will work with them again soon”.
