A one-day conference aimed at bloggers from across the UK is set to take place in Birmingham.
Blognix, the first event of its kind outside of London, was originally launched as a trial event in 2013 by established blogger Elizabeth Sellers, aka ‘Rosalilium’. Due to its popularity, Ms Sellers took the decision to launch it properly in 2014 with its base still in Birmingham.
Blognix aims to offer tips on advanced blogging techniques. It will also provide a networking opportunity for bloggers to meet and share their knowledge.
Ms Sellers said: “Blognix will be an event that any kind of blogger can gain from.
“Many blogging events focus on a certain niche, which can often make you feel alienated if you don’t quite fall into that category, but the aim with Blognix is to cover topics that will equip any Blogger with useful nuggets of information to help make their blog work for them.
“Topics to be covered during the event will include: how to make the most of advertising opportunities and make your blog pay, how to branch out into video or podcasting, how to pursue a freelance career or turn your blog into a business plus advice on improving your blog’s design and photography and so on.”
Blognix will take place at The Custard Factory, Digbeth, on Saturday, June 14.
