The countdown to the Chartered Institute of Public Relations’ PRide Awards has begun with the announcement of the lucky few who have made it to the final.
The winners will be announced at a Las Vegas-themed ceremony hosted by Joanne Malin at the Hilton Metropole on Friday December 3.
The organisers had to sift through 1,221 entries this year across 25 categories. Finalists from the region for the Outstanding Consultancy award include Bright PR, McCann Erickson Public Relations, S&X Media and Willoughby Public Relations.
Betterpr, Lava PR and Rewired PR are all shortlisted for Outstanding Small Consultancy 2010.
And it’s an all-female line up of finalists in the Outstanding Young Communicator award with Chloe Shrubb of Staffordshire County Council, Hannah Johnson of Willoughby Public Relations, Kathy Doyle of McCann Erickson Public Relations and Tara Tomes of Rewired PR competing for this coveted title.
Jay O’Connor, CIPR president said: “The CIPR PRide Awards are a celebration of PR achievement and a showcase of campaigns implemented by the best of the best from across the UK.
“I offer my congratulations to all those who have reached this stage of the competition.”
