Birmingham Science Park Aston (BSPA) has appointed Core to provide an integrated PR and marketing campaign.

The agency is working with the science park to create a campaign that will position it at the heart of Birmingham’s Digital District and as the main driver of digital connectivity in the region.

Following the recent announcement that BSPA will become the UK’s first “Science Park Without Walls,” the team will roll out a campaign focused on the launch of the Park’s Ideas and Communications Suite in January 2011.

This will include a PR programme aimed at regional, national and trade press, printed and online materials, plus a digital campaign to promote how this technology will be integrated within a new Digital Plaza to be developed at the park.

Core director Charlotte Crossley said: “As one of the largest and most highly respected Science Parks in the UK, we are delighted to have the opportunity to work with the BSPA team to build on the Park’s current profile.

“Positioning BSPA as a leader in its field, the Core team will reach the target audiences of entrepreneurial technology businesses, start-ups and national corporate business leaders through a range of marketing collateral and news agenda based PR campaigns, which will promote BSPA as an important facilitator of the Government’s digital agenda.”

Dr David Hardman, managing director of Birmingham Science Park Aston, said: “BSPA is not just a set of buildings, it is a community based on innovators and entrepreneurs looking to deliver their commercial aspirations.”
