World-renowned golfing institution The Belfry has appointed Midlands PR agency Cognition to help promote its leisure-break, resort, meetings and conference facilities.
The four-time Ryder Cup host awarded the account to Cognition following a three-way pitch.
During the contract the agency is tasked with raising the profile of The Belfry’s hotel, spa and nightclub facilities and promoting its leisure breaks nationally. Regionally, the remit is to attract more local customers to its range of restaurants and bars and encourage spa and Leisure Club membership.
Cognition is also to address seasonal ‘dip periods’ to ensure The Belfry’s golf and spa package offerings are filled all year round.
“Our brief is to drive couples, groups and families to the resort,” explains Cognition PR director, Ellie Hawtin. “With such a prestigious brand and golfing heritage behind it, we’re adamant The Belfry will remain top of the list as a UK leisure break destination – it’s a very exciting account to win.”
