Witton-based Fracino, the UK’s only manufacturer of cappuccino and espresso machines, has won an innovation award for its latest coffee system.
The family run business and exporter has been recognised in The Caterer and Hotelkeeper Equipment & Supplies Excellence Awards 2009 for its fully-automated Cybercino espresso and cappuccino machine. The Cybercino has been developed by the 23-strong team which sells almost 2,000 machines every year to customers including the Living Room and Pathfinder pub chains. Adrian Maxwell, Fracino MD, was presented with the award during the Hospitality Exhibition at the NEC.
The award is the latest milestone in a series of developments which include expansion into the Middle Eastern market through a deal with distributor Bartechco, a leading supplier of bar accessories and equipment in the region. Fracino has also received its first orders from the Indian sub-continent.
