Birmingham’s communications agencies are preparing to recruit talented press officers and marketers, in a bid to boost business and profitability in 2013.
In response to demand from agencies, the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) is holding a recruitment event at Gateley LLP in Birmingham on June 26, where PR recruitment firm Pitch Consultants, Rob Markwell and Ollie Purdom will be advising firms on how to find and attract the best talent.
Gateley LLP’s communications manager Cara Zachariou has organised the event. “We’ve had a lot of interest from agencies which are planning to expand their teams but need advice to spot and attract the very best candidates,” he said.
The event is open to anyone who is looking to recruit for a communications role and it will cover how to get the best out of job applicants, decipher CVs, use social media and ask the right questions. It will also provide insight into what candidates are looking for from an organisation in an increasingly competitive recruitment market.
