Leamington-Spa based independent games developer Blitz Games Studios has completed an overhaul of its senior management structure.

The company has appointed John Nash as studio design director, completing its new management strata which it calls the Studio Development Group (SDG).

This follows the appointment last year of Aaron Allport as studio art director.

They join Richard Hackett as studio technical director and Chris Viggers as studio development director.

The company said the SDG was designed to solidify the senior management team at Blitz and provide support and guidance to all the development teams. Having originally qualified as a professional illustrator from Falmouth School of Art and Design, John Nash moved into to the games industry in 1993, starting with a seven year stint at Rare.

Since then John has averaged nearly one published game each year and has acquired a vast amount of knowledge and experience with regard to game design and content creation.

Blitz Games Studios chief technical officer and cofounder Andrew Oliver said: “Over the last year we have dedicated ourselves to completing the SDG, appointing some of our most talented and respected staff to these important positions.
