The Birmingham Post has launched a new app, meaning readers can access news in even more ways, for free.

The app is available on both iPad and iPhone and will be updated throughout the day with breaking news as well as allowing readers to access the printed edition of the Post at the tap of the tablet screen.

The app is free to download from the App Store and can be found by searching for ‘Birmingham Post’.

You can read the latest edition of the Post plus all the regular supplements such as Post Property and Post Life, in addition to any special pullouts such as Business & Property Review.

If it’s breaking news you’re after, tap the menu for a list of different sections such as Business, Colmore Row and Regional Affairs.

You can also share articles which catch your eye through Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.

Birmingham Post editor Stacey Barnfield said: “This is yet another exciting development from the Birmingham Post as we strive to bring readers more ways to access our exclusive news stories.

“The app enables our readers to carry the Post with them wherever they go, meaning they can stay in touch with the city while at home or abroad.

“We’re forging a reputation for digital innovation and the new app is just another example of how the Post is staying ahead of the opposition.”

If you have the previous version of the app, search for ‘Birmingham Post’ in the app store and press the update button which will update your system with the latest version.
