An image by a Birmingham-based photographer has beaten competition from more than 16,000 entries from 57 countries to make it to a world-renowned exhibition at the Lyceum Theatre Gallery in San Diego.

Chris Keenan’s photo of Franz Joseph Glacier was one of the 111 images chosen for the Art of Photography exhibition by judge Charlotte Cotton, curator and head of the photography department at Los Angeles County Museum of Art and a leading figure in contemporary photography.

The exhibition will run from August 29 to November 1 and is expected to be viewed by more than 25,000 people.
