An IT firm in Coleshill is hoping to encourage more local businesses to work together as part of plans to mark its 15th anniversary celebrations.
Acutec has invited Coleshill mayor, Coun Dominic Ferro, to officially open its premises in Church Hill on Wednesday and hopes to combine the event with establishing a new business group.
Chris Roche, managing director of Acutec, said he knows the mayor is a great supporter of community projects, and has spoken about his desire to see more Coleshill businesses working together.
“Our hope would be to help set up a business user group, where local firms could network, and support each other, with the aim being to get more firms working together, and sharing the great pool of local talent we have here in Coleshill,” said Mr Roche.
“We are very proud to have reached our 15th year in business, and became more and more enthusiastic about the group as we started to make plans for our future here in Coleshill.
“I know this is something our new Mayor has expressed a great interest in, and we are delighted he is going to join us to officially open our premises.
“We are extending the invitation to come along to all of our neighbours and any SMEs based in Coleshill who would be interested in finding out about a local business group.”
Coun Ferro said he was a big supporter of local businesses, and interested in anything likely to raise the profile of Coleshill’s business community.
“I am really pleased to be part of Acutec’s 15th anniversary celebrations. It is fantastic to see a local firm doing so well, and even better news that they intend to use their success to help encourage other businesses in the town,” he said.
The company moved to the premises in Church Hill last year, but delayed official opening plans to coincide with the 15th anniversary.
“We were so busy with our move and a host of new clients that it became impossible to do everything we wanted last year,” explained Mr Roche.
“But as we have now settled into our offices, and feel well established here, our anniversary seemed the right time to start moving things forward, with the business group plan top of our agenda,” he added.
The event is being held at 11.30am and will include the official opening by Coun Ferro, as well as information about the new group, and a chance to congratulate the Acutec team on their anniversary.
