Lobby group Birmingham Forward has appointed its new chief executive.
Richard Brennan, who is managing director of business consultancy Strategic Alliance, takes up the post following Simon Murphy's decision in March to quit the role to become City Region project director.
Birmingham Forward's job application states the chief executive post involves a 2.5 day week and competitive salary, understood to be £40,000.
Mr Brennan said: "Simon has enjoyed a successful period at the helm, developing good relationships with key partners across the country and creating a great platform
to push on from." And Diane Benussi, chairman of Birmingham Forward, said Mr Brennan was chosen because he "clearly has a passion for the role and the potential it offers".
Mr Brennan will take up his new role from May 8 and Mr Murphy will remain in post until then.
The organisation heard at March's meeting that Mr Murphy was stepping down to take on the City Region job. ..SUPL:
